i believe tat you are refering to Royal Plaza On scotts (the hotel opp grand hyatt) tis one i nv heard my friends tok abt it i went online search.. yes indeed its a halal place(i think none of us r halal ba haha) frm review its looks not bad.. price $ 31-40++
Timing as follows:
Carousel (Royal Plaza on Scotts)
Buffet hours: 12pm-2pm; High Tea: 3pm-530pm; Dinner: 630pm-1030pm; Supper: 11pm-4am
SOme comments frm forum:
My friends and I walked by and decided to have buffet dinner here. We were attracted by its unpretentious, subdued and spacious setting. The host greeted us very enthusiastically and showed us our tables. It wasn't long before we realised it was Halal Continental buffet they served, and a rather popular one with the Malay community from the amount Malay patrons inside.
The buffet had a good spread of seafood. Unfortunately, they did not have any oysters. The crayfish was very popular and constantly needed topping up by the cooks. They have a few Thai dishes that i had double servings of - Please try the curry, no, please double try their curry. Their salmon was very fresh and yummy too. They had a mixture of western and chinese soups. I tried the chinese one - with chicken and melon. Thought it wasn't too bad.
All in all, if you're Muslim or have friends that eat halal, this is probably the only place to go for good celebratory halal buffet dinner (I cant think of any other) with a touch of festive atmosphere, and at a good price. $35 per pax i think? (I didn't pay, hahahaha)
